This policy explains how BOOKMYOPPONENT Private Limited ("BOOKMYOPPONENT", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit bookmyopponent.com (the "website"). It is written to meet our duties under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and the rules made under it.

This policy covers the company website only. The cricscore app and cricscore.app have their own policy: read the cricscore privacy policy.

1. Who is responsible for your data

BOOKMYOPPONENT Private Limited (CIN U85410MH2026PTC476891), with its registered office at B-406, Central Park, Kannamwar Nagar 1, Vikrholi E, Mumbai, Maharashtra - 400083, is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website.

2. What we collect

When you email or call us

If you email or phone us, we receive the details you choose to give, such as your name, email address or phone number and your message. We do not ask for sensitive information. Please do not include it in your message.

Technical and security data

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details, in line with its own privacy policy.

Your theme preference

If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser. It is never sent to us.

The website has no contact forms, analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal data.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To reply to you. We use contact details only to answer your enquiry and keep a record of the conversation. You give consent by contacting us.
  • To run and secure the website. Technical data is used to deliver pages and prevent abuse, as permitted for legitimate uses under the DPDP Act.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it for us under contract:

  • Google (Gmail), which hosts our email
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the website and protects it from abuse

These providers may process data outside India. Where they do, it is transferred in line with Section 16 of the DPDP Act. We may also disclose data where Indian law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

  • Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange with you and are then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
  • Technical data is kept by Cloudflare in line with its own retention periods.

6. Your rights

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you can:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
  • ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data
  • withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already done)
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated
  • raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India

To exercise any of these rights, email bookmyopponent@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

7. Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

8. Security

The website is served only over HTTPS, and we limit access to messages to the people who need them to reply. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected people and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.
